Things are going to get a little scary around Young’s this fall! Our Haunted Wagon Ride and Scary Stories are designed for families with children. It will be scary!
A responsible adult must accompany all children under age 11. This is a family fun activity that will help get you into the proper Halloween spirit!
PARENTS: We have designed this ride for families with children. We don’t touch, grab, or chase anyone, but we do try to make it scary and fun. The ride goes into a very dark cornfield where our ‘monsters and goblins’ live. There will be chainsaws (without the chains!), boo’s and other scary things going on.
Purchase your tickets at the window outside the Dairy Store or in the Gift Shop.
You then go to our Storytelling Theatre, where professional storytellers will haunt you with tales of ghosts & goblins and scary things that go bump in the night!
Then you board our wagon for a fearsome trip to our haunted cornfield, where who knows what will greet you!
The charge is $19 for adults and children ages 6 and older. Ages five and under are $9.
We run the Haunted Wagon Rides on Friday and Saturday Nights, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM (weather permitting).
Meet Our Storyteller:
Lisa Holmes
Lisa Holmes has been captivating audiences with stories for more than 20 years. Whether in classrooms, conferences, seminars, or even experimenting with improv and stand-up comedy, she knows how to hold a room—and if she can land a good jump scare along the way, all the better. “Oh, the stories she can tell” isn’t just a saying—it’s her way of life.
Beyond entertainment, Lisa is deeply passionate about literacy. In 2014, she stepped onto the TEDx Dayton stage with her powerful talk, “Prisoner of Shame,” sharing her personal journey with honesty and courage. Recently, she founded The Reading Room, which provides One-on-one coaching for children and adults who struggle with reading.
At her core, Lisa believes in the transformative power of words—whether told aloud in a room full of listeners or written on the pages of a book in a child’s hands.
